Any Twi-hards out there?

Does anyone have any interest in going to see New Moon? It comes out on Friday, November 20th. Depending on what works best for most of the people who want to see it, we could go either Friday night or Saturday afternoon. Ticket prices are $10.25 for the night showings and $8 for the matinees. (Matinee sounds better to me, how about you?) I was thinking we could see it at the Rave theater in Town Square, and that we could make a little stop by Yogurtland after. :) Leave a comment if you're interested.

Want a movie to go along with your chicken? Try one of these codes for a free Redbox rental: 9HB6MP22 or SMR8DVD (the second one's valid at McDonalds' locations only). We used the first code this morning and it worked for us, but I don't know how long they'll be good.

Park Day

Playgroup at the Park

This coming Tuesday, September 22 at 10:30, we'll be having playgroup at Paseo Vista Park. The park is on St. Rose and Paseo Verde, at 2505 Paseo Verde Pkwy. The park also has a splash pad so if you would like to have your kids play in it, bring a towel!

Who you gonna call?

On Friday, October 9th, at 6:30, we will be watching Ghostbusters in the new student lounge at the school. Bring your family, your dinner, and if you want, a Halloween treat to share.

Lunch at Panera Bread

Recipe Exchange Lunch & Coupon Tips

On October 15th, you're all invited to my house for a recipe exchange lunch. Here's how it works:

• First, pick a recipe that fits in the theme. This month's theme is Fall Foods. You can pick any fall food you want, except dessert. I think if it's open to dessert, we'll end up with all desserts and nothing for lunch. And while that might be fun, let's not do that. I'll provide the dessert. Since it's my house, I can break the rules. :)
  
• Second, make copies of the recipe to pass out to everyone who comes.


• Third, make your food and bring enough to share with everyone.

That's it. Easy enough, right? I think if it works well this time, we can try to do it every couple of months. We can take turns hosting, and the host gets to pick the theme and the rules. And kids are definitely welcome at these lunches.

This time we'll also be exchanging tips on using coupons to get the most from our grocery budgets. If this sounds boring to you, well, come anyway and just ignore the coupon chat. ;)

I'll be sending out an email with my address and directions to my house. If you don't get an email, then you're not on my email list. Leave a comment with your email address or have your husband get it to my husband at school.

Black & White

Be sure to mark your calenders, (and find a babysitter if necessary,) for this year's Black and White Ball. It will take place on Friday, October 23rd. It's a great chance to get a little dressed up and enjoy a night out. More details to follow.

Cheesecake!

We had our first get together of the year last night at The Cheesecake Factory. We had about twelve girls there. A pretty good showing for our first meeting I think. We had a good time getting to know new people and eating yummy food. If you missed out on this one, we'd love to see you at our next activity!
